Pharmaceutical Litigation Get Started

Every day, the FDA updates a growing database of drugs recalled for safety concerns. For many, it’s already too late.

Have you been harmed by a dangerous pharmaceutical drug? It doesn’t matter if a drug was prescribed or obtained over the counter – if you’ve been injured, you deserve compensation.

How do we win against big
pharma?

How much compensation am I entitled to receive?

The exact amount of compensation varies by case, but it’s common for people to recover more than enough compensation to cover medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering (in some cases), and future lost earnings. A pharmaceutical litigation attorney from KR Law will provide more information about how much your claim is worth during your free consultation.

Can I file a lawsuit if the drug was approved by the FDA?

Yes. FDA approval does not eliminate your right to sue for injuries caused by a dangerous drug. Plenty of dangerous drugs are approved and then later black-boxed rather than banned. Greedy pharmaceutical companies don’t always play by the rules - some FDA approvals are based on fraudulent test results, which take a while to catch.

Over-the-counter (OTC) drugs can be just as dangerous as prescription drugs.

If you’ve been injured by what seems like a simple OTC drug, you might qualify for a lawsuit. Even over-the-counter drugs that seem innocent might be hiding a dark secret. For example, you’re probably familiar with the popular heartburn medication Zantac OTC, made from the generic drug ranitidine. This drug has been found to contain high levels of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) – a substance classified as a probable human carcinogen.

How did Zantac become contaminated with NDMA? It turns out the problem was not a matter of accidental contamination. The shocking truth is that ranitidine breaks down into NDMA when metabolized. In other words, the drug itself is the contaminant. It’s actually impossible to have uncontaminated ranitidine.

In spite of the facts, the FDA never forced a recall. The FDA issued a warning, and several manufacturers and drug stores suspended the sale of ranitidine products. However, all drug recalls are voluntary. No matter how dangerous a drug might be, the FDA won’t force a recall.

The FDA won’t protect you, but we will.

Drug recalls are happening at an alarming rate. Some recent recalls include blood pressure medications like Valsartan, Losartan and Irbesartan. However, the FDA’s database contains thousands of recalled drugs prescribed to treat a variety of ailments.

If you or a loved one have been injured by a dangerous pharmaceutical drug, the FDA won’t protect you. However, we can help you get the compensation you deserve.
