PRESSURE COOKER RECALL LITIGATION

KR FIRM IS NOW INVESTIGATING INJURIES CAUSED BY RECALLED PRESSURE COOKERS MANUFACTURED BY SUNBEAM PRODUCTS, INC. OF BOCA RATON, FL.

According to the recall notice filed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, “The recalled Crock-Pot multi-cooker can pressurize when the lid is not fully locked.  This can cause the lid to suddenly detach while the product is in use, posing burn risks to consumers from hot food and liquids ejected from the product.” The manufacturer has received over 100 reports of lid detachment, resulting in numerous claims of burn injuries, many with permanent scarring and discoloration.
